The Municipal Department of Tourism is holding the 1st Tourism Blitz 2026 between October 6 and 9. The initiative will travel through different regions of Cotia to bring the population closer to the attractions and tourism experiences available in the municipality.
During the program, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Department teams will be available to residents to distribute informational materials, present options for tours and activities, and answer questions about the city's tourism offerings.
The Blitz begins this Tuesday (6) in Downtown Cotia. On Wednesday (7), the initiative will be at Praça Joaquim Nunes; on Thursday (8), in Caucaia do Alto; and, closing the program, on Friday (9), in the Granja Viana region.
The initiative seeks to deepen dialogue with the community and stems from an observation by the Department of Tourism: despite the diversity of attractions existing in the municipality, many residents are still unaware of the options available in their own city.
Cotia brings together attractions across different segments, with options for gastronomy, nature, culture, leisure, history, adventure, and experience tourism.
In addition to encouraging residents to discover their own city, the initiative aims to strengthen the sense of belonging and value the entrepreneurs and service providers linked to the tourism sector.
The Department of Tourism also highlights that expanding the population's knowledge of local attractions helps boost the economy and strengthen Cotia as a tourist destination.
